ARC 360 capture arm orbiting a vehicle

Automotive 360 Capture

ARC 360

An automated robotic camera arm for rapid 360 degree vehicle photography. Scan a barcode or VIN, press one button, and the arm captures a full turntable-quality spin in about a minute, without moving the car.

What it is

The car stays put, the camera moves

ARC 360 is a single robotic arm suspended from the ceiling that orbits the vehicle. There is no turntable to drive the car onto and no multi-camera array to align, which is what makes it practical to drop into a showroom or a backroom rather than building a dedicated studio around it.

How it works

Barcode in, gallery out

1. Scan

Scan the vehicle's barcode or VIN so the capture is filed against the right stock number.

2. Center

AI vehicle tracking drives a wall-mounted LED indicator that tells the driver exactly when the car is centered.

3. Capture

One button. The arm completes a full rotation in about 60 seconds.

4. Publish

Up to 100 high-resolution frames, ready as JPG for fast web upload or RAW for retouching.

Interactive sample

A real ARC 360 capture

Real output from the arm, reconstructed as a Gaussian splat.

Imaging

Detail you can zoom into

61 megapixels

9504 x 6336 per frame from a full-frame mirrorless body.

Up to 6x zoom

Close-ups sharp enough to show trim, stitching and wheel detail.

Up to 100 frames

A single 60-second rotation produces a complete interactive spin.

JPG or RAW

JPG straight to the web, RAW when the images need retouching first.

Consistent every time

The same path, framing and exposure on every vehicle, so a gallery looks like a set.

No reflections

The counterbalance design keeps the rig out of the images.

In the space

Quiet, compact, and easy to run

The interface is a touchscreen. There is no programming knowledge required, so a lot member or photographer can be trained on it in minutes.

Specifications

What it needs

30.5 ft

Diameter of the arm's capture path.

32.8 ft

Stage design

We can build the room, too

Arc Eye designs and builds custom capture stages to go with the arm, including high colour-rendering lighting for colour-accurate, detailed captures. If you want a finished space rather than a machine in a bay, that's a conversation we have often.

Who it's for

Where ARC 360 earns its keep

Dealerships

Consistent, web-ready spins for every car on the lot, shot in about a minute each.

Museums & collections

Archival-quality documentation of vehicles without moving or handling them.

Auctions & wholesale

High-volume, repeatable imaging that makes remote buyers confident.
